Well I'm glad that you like to take games so extremely and hardcore like. I'm just a guy thats played the other fable games and is playing this one now.

man wouldnt it suck if you were right at the end of the game but hadnt quite finnsihed it for the first with a clean record and you die in a coop run hours of work down the drain and having to start a new character just to get that achevemnt.....
I feel Melee is definitely the hardest route to go. In my playthroughs of various fables I always stuck to a melee weapon for the first try as it's quite brainless sometimes. I remember in Fable 1, my character and his Katana killed 1000+ Hollow men in one area where they kept spawning and got a heck lot of XP and multipliers.
In Fable 3 however, the enemies are definitely harder to hit as melee but are suckers to guns. Magic is kinda like the middle ground for me. In fact, despite starting off with melee focus on my combat, I find myself rolling and throwing quick fire-shock-balls at Hobbes and Hollowmen.

Yay a fellow enthusiast! I shall attempt this as well! Though I should mention it's rather easy to abuse the heroic regen...
