Best wepon???

Ok I dont get wats the best wepon[melee]. Some people say its the daichi so I got that wepon but some people say its the chopper or something else. The point is wats the best wepon??

For melee its the Daichi and its called a weApon**
And for ranged its the Red Dragon.

with the knothole island expansion considered, the best melee weapon is custom. However, no matter what you do the daichi will be listed in your inventory with a little green "(Best)" due to it's superior base damage...91 if i'm not mistaken.

For my tuppence worth, I think the Daichi is best melee, and Red Dragon for ranged. However, since the DLC has come out Hal's Rifle has been looked at as better than the Red Dragon. I don't know if that has quietened down now, but I think it sucks. Spamheadshots or groinshots with the Red Dragon all the way tbh.

Also, because of the DLC, as Led said, 3 and 4 augment weapons are superior to the legendaries, depending on what augment you use.
I use for mine:
Devastation
It's not luck
Ghoul
Sexy Scars
On both weapons; master clockwork pistol and master cutlass.

The Daichi it always says best because it is fast and has good damage. Considering knothole though you are right it with 4 slot weapons they are the best.

Daichi and Master Clockwork Pistol (I suck at shooting range and will probably never get Red Dragon) with 4 aug slots (from KI DLC):
