BIG Promotion!

ok, i work at a grocery store in the meat department. i am currently a seafood clerk, its not that great of a job, but it pays decent. but now the seafood manager is moving to vegas and iv been promoted to manager! yay! only sucky part is more stress and all my shifts will start at 6am. oh well im sure i can get used to it, and my boss will help me out aswell. and now im going from earning 8.83 (weird number eh?) to earning 13.36 an hour! not bad for being 18 right? especialy considering at the begining of this year i was only getting 6.15 an hour (and that was bagging groceries and it sucked way more than my current job.) pluss that number will automaticly increase for every 1000 hours of work (about 6 months). ya so im happy.

hey thanks everyone! oh man i just remembered for all promotions your required to take a drug test (dont worry i will pass ) and you have to have this really nasty tasting stick in your mouth for about a min. yuk....... oh well.

Congratulations TJ!!
A salery increase is a great time to start a savings plan.
Set up an auto deposite of 20-50 a paycheck now and you'll never miss it because you're getting and increase in pay rather than an apparent decrease if you do it later.
