Re: Bleach or Naruto?

Naruto, I haven`t seen Bleach.
Naruto is fun, lots of humor, sometimes not developing fast enough.
And my favourite character is Shikamaru, but Neji is cool too, I haven`t seen Shippuden and people say that some characters are quite different there.
Anyway, it`s too troublesome to write more...

Vampirish.

So they feed on souls instead of blood, you catch my drift nontheless, don't you?

Perhaps the main story is back, I dunno. But 100 or so episodes is alot, I just can't catch up. And new ones keep on comming. :O

Re: Bleach or Naruto?

hahaha yea my bad about the whole spoiler thing.

and yea who added the neither?

i dont mind just wondering..

well its a tie between naruto and bleach.

Re: Bleach or Naruto?

Anyway, I don't watch either show, so excuse my ignorance, but doesn't Naruto have a saying (and what a saying it is *sarcasm*) "Believe it" that he spouts out all the fricking time? It gets really, really annoying, even after watching a video game review or something about it on TV. That alone kind of freaks me out, let alone the sheer weirdness of it all...

I`ve heard they dropped this line (I´m not 100% sure), but I suggest you watch the japanese version, it`s, I think, a lot better. English dub sounds like every character is high or something.

Re: Bleach or Naruto?

English dubs on anything related to anime: games, movies or TV shows are the worst thing I know! Every actor tries to pull of this "childish" tone of voice that is totally OK for a cute Asian chick to pull off, but ends up being terrible when done be English voice actors.

Yes, Japanese voice actors have this natural energy in their voice, but English voices seem too dull and boring.
One exception is the Hellsing anime which is OK, but I still prefer japanese...

Re: Bleach or Naruto?

The exception to the rule in my case is Chobits. That one was a bit more "professionally" done than most. The voice acting is excellent.

Re: Bleach or Naruto?

Only seen alittle bit of Bleach so far and it's pretty good, and Naruto looks rather annoying (at least the English Dub does), like Pokemon.

So I pick Bleach.

I love Japan. And I agree. English Voices sometimes are okay. But watching the animes in Japanese are always better. Slightly differen't story lines as well.

I have to agree with you there. Very Professionally Done.
Princess Mononoke had great English voice actors as well.

All in All Watching anime is a differen't experience both in English and Japanese.

Re: Bleach or Naruto?

I prefer the english dub for some of my animes.. like Ghost In The Shell, Cowboy Bebop. Dragonball & Dragonball Z, great acting for most parts of the show, alittle silly here and there.. but FUNimation at least have a passion for their work on DBZ, unlike other companies who just throw cheap voice-acting in there. But i can't stand the english dub for Ergo Proxy, Iggy's voice is so awful in it...

And then there's Slayers, easily one of the worst english dubs out there, because it's so kiddyish for an anime that falls into the category of DBZ & Sailormoon.

But I do agree on Hellsing's voice acting, good stuff there. :)

Ah yes, princess Mononoke, one of the few anime I have seen and it was in English, was very good, but since I haven`t seen the Japanese version (if there is one) I can`t really compare.

Sometimes it`s hard to understand which is correct since English dubs, subs and Wikipedia offer different information.

There is, I have it on VHS, along with the English Dub. In Animes, the Japanese dubbing is recorded first, then it gets licensed overseas and then the other languages are dubbed... unless of course the Anime is American, like The Boondocks, or Afro Samurai.

Re: Bleach or Naruto?

The Jap versions are the best.. stupid english versions ruin it!

Re: Bleach or Naruto?

Personally I liked Rurouni Kenshin back in the day.

Re: Bleach or Naruto?

or GTO

anyway, I liked bleach, but the fillers sortof spoiled it for me and naruto, was too dramatic dramatic to me, but still cool. Anyone watched Cowboy Bebop or Trigun those are good to

There's allot of cool anime out there, but I don't have the time and money to watch it all , maybe someday.

Yeah, I remember watching Cowboy Bebop a long time ago, great anime. Only saw bits and pieces from various episodes of Trigun, but it seems pretty good (even though it was the English Dub).
