Last week we brought you the
latest Borderlands trailer, whereby it boasted 87 bazillion guns. Obviously it was a tongue-in-cheek, over-the-top figure used to raise a few smiles, but now, thanks to the
MTV Multiplayer Blog, we finally have some actual figure of how many weapons will feature in the game ... and boy is it a lot.
MTV managed to get a glimpse at the debug database in the latest preview build where Gearbox could select certain weapons, revealing that Borderlands will feature 3,166,880 weapons. Yes, count it, 3,166,880 guns. That includes all variant possibilities from scope size and colour, to bullet effects and of course, gun type.
The figure was lifted from a pre-release preview build, so that number could rise ever so slightly between now and October, but you'd have thought, that by now, all they'll be doing is polishing that bad boy up.
Borderlands is out on October 20th and 23rd in North America and Europe respectively.
