I'm just so much more focused on the second flash forward. I mean, what the hell could have happened to screw everything up so badly? Let's look at everything we know from the two flash forwards. It's one year later. He purchased a massive gun. There's a good chance he's been away from New Mexico for the duration of that year. He acquired his old vial of ricin. He is most likely not leaving Albuquerque before his business with the gun and ricin is finished. He seems to be alone. He's using a false identity. His house is run down, abandoned, and fenced off. "Heisenberg" was spray painted on the inside of his old house. His old neighbor was flabbergasted to see him. He likely still has access to all of his money. Is that it? I can't really remember anything else too significant. I just can't imagine what would have happened to cause all that. I mean, most of the show is now focused on Hank being aware of Walt's identity as Heisenberg, but I don't see how that could put Walt in the situation he's in after that year has passed. He may be using his false identity to evade law enforcement, but no one in the DEA, Hank included, would have done anything to drive the Whites from their home or spray painted "Heisenberg" inside of it. Most or all of that was clearly the work of at least one fellow criminal. Something that is not connected to Hank or the DEA has to happen. Someone else has to come into the picture fairly soon. But who is it? What are they going to do? And why are they going to do it? Does Walt briefly step back into the world of criminal activities and provoke someone there? And why would he do that? To protect himself from Hank and/or law enforcement perhaps? There are so many unanswered questions here, and speculation is incredibly difficult.
