Bungies website has been updated with a mysterious countdown to the reveal of their next project Destiny. On the page visitors are able to interact with a handful of buttons which reveal some obsure black and white images. Been a while since anything was leaked about said project (last was in November 2012) which described the game as "a universe as deep, tangible and relatable as that of the Star Wars franchise" said to be "fun and accessible to all." Other details are listed here.
Full reveal is happening in the coming weeks...

Destiny was also announced for the PS4 with exclusive content on the way for the platform too.

Here is the footage that was shown at the event...

Heres my post about the game from one of our other forums
Id love the game to make me need help & span over multiple planets at same time. Would be great if I could be doing missions in one star system/planet & get pinned down by a huge amount of enemies or some boss like character & have to call for friends to fly to the same planet to come help me out or bring reinforcements etc. The social aspect could be truly brilliant if done right, with people posting on Twitter/Facebook for help in different areas/missions etc in real time distress messages to the in game hub. So I would get updates to my phone while going about my daily business & feel like things are continuing in the game without me in it. Would make you feel like a small but important part in a bigger world/battle.

I have been in the Bungie community for a while; I am so excited that after two long years of silence finally Bungie started revealing something actual from Destiny.

Even though we know very little about it im excited for what they could do with it. It could truly be something very special if done right & I have faith in Bungie as developers so im going to be following the game closely from now on.

The only thing that really bugs me about IP's like this is that they're not future proof. I think the industry is veering way to hard into multiplayer. What happens in 10 years when this game is no longer played, ya know?

I dunno. Maybe I'm just bitter.

I sure hope they didn't make a 10 year investment on this project, not a lot of MMOs actually last that long, and Activision is notorious for pulling the plug on things that fail to make an awesome profit. The average console generation lifespan and popularity being 7-8 years and the issue of microtransactions (because I can't see Activision NOT doing this), leaves me with a great lack of anticipation for this title.

If I can get a couple of years of playtime out of the game I will be very happy. With no monthly fees im not tied into playing it for a duration & so long as friends still play it I would continue to do so. Very few games ive still played 10 years later on any console/gaming device so I dont mind it not lasting a full 10 years as thats very ambitious. I dont think Activision will want to jeopardise working with Bungie in the future as they know they are a proven studio & could make a lot of money, so they wont be hasty to cancel anything too early.

I'm cautiously optimistic right now. Destiny looks cool, there's ME4 on the horizon, an ME Movie on the Horizon.

I just want to see the Halo movie roll out and I'll be real happy.

Dudes, you're a space faring, gun shooting, robot-wizard!
I'm scared it will be to dorky, with the level of 'badass' that they set for the Master Chief I'm wondering if it will be possible to do so in a world of millions of heroes. As long as I can shoot a gun and a wider selection of cool gear to invest my time in it should be awesome enough for me.

Tigerman- this race was scrapped from the game XD

Here's some new information if anyone's craving any, they talk about how they formed the massive world of Destiny and came up with it's enemies and heroes.

Here's a video of everything in game we know so far.
