That only happens when you join someone elses game, it can't happen while gifting someone, theres no risk at all, i'll buy it now for 400grand, if you want to sell meet me in town square at the clock.

No it wont, the glitch was if you went into someones game it would erase everything, just don't go into any co-op games, the patch wont ruin anything.

The only way to get the trick is to get it from the pub games which isn't very hard...just create a new pub game account, unlock the trick and then merge the pug patron and your character.
