Re: Change in Guard?

Maybe the nature aswell as physical appearance of the guards may change depending on Your actions as King. For example if Your a kind ruler that may be reflected by honorable, reasonable guards, if your a nasty bugger then possibly Your guards may be either more cruel or corrupt.

Re: Change in Guard?

Man I really like the idea of having redcoats patrol the streets. I've always loved the way the redcoats looked I even went as far as in age of empires 3 I would only build red musketeers so that they looked like them. I'm probably going to end up wearing there gear half the game since it looks so damn cool (maybe not the helmet). The redcoats marching in the streets will certainly bring a sense of power to the game (hopefully you can get your rebels to wear similar outfits but in different colours). I would also like having the guards attitudes change to accommodate the current rulers personality.

I kinda like these new guards, but I will deeply miss the muscle-head, nub slapping guards too... *sniff* they will always have a place in my heart... :'(

I did not mean to sound like I was attacking you. Quite the contrary, I respect a fellow fan of the Napoleonic Wars.

I recently watched Rob Roy with Liam Neeson and I found it interesting how accurate the redcoats were firing more than 200 yards away into fog uphill. You are correct these weapons weren't very accurate and did rely heavily on sheer numbers (the waves of men and the one up one down formation). Instead of continuing on this tangent, I'll just say I'm sorry if I upset you (it wasn't meant as an attack) and I hope the Redcoats in Fable III don't disappoint.

Edit :

It was a barbaric mistreatment of patriotic men that most other countries had done away with by that time.

I know that they weren't so bad, I just find it hard to believe that the French lost (I might be a francophile)...

Hurray for fellow history nuts! :D

Still, I do also think the french (in most historic cases) seem to get the bad luck of having a special talent to grab defeat out of the jaws of victory... O.o
Not that Im trying to be mean to any frenchies or frenchie-fans out there.

Oh, and another thing I feel I must add. Napoleon was pretty much pure-blooded Italian. lol
I only felt like adding that because ive got ALOT of Italian in me too. :P

Re: Change in Guard?

Wonder if we can change the guards uniforms after gaining the thrown?

Off thread topic but, when Napoleon was born his home, the isle of Corsica was a part of France, and the stereotype of a weak French army really only came after the Second World War when the hole of there country was taken after one and one half months of fighting. Overall they are relatively powerfull.
