Tsuyu;30233 said:Sadly I've only watched the movie. I am all for good ol' old school reading. Movies based on books tend to leave out alot of details that the books got. LotR movies were a good example of this, they left out a whole lot indeed!

Sephiroxas;30279 said:Sorry..but I think all movies based off books..should NOT be exactly like the books..that's why they're..BASED off it..like the harry potter movies..they're movies..not the books..Interview with a vampire, Queen of the Damned, Lord of the Rings..all good books AND good movies.
*shrug* that's my opinion. I don't know why people get so worked up all the time "AHH! THAT MOVIE BUTCHERED THE BOOK!"...well then..read the book..AND enjoy the movie..they are two differen't things..made by two differen't people.....
Hexadecimal;30280 said:see, I get mad about that sometimes but it's when move makers promise that they will be entirely true to the original and then go inventing things and removing things...
it's not that the movie is terrible just because it didn't follow the book, it's that the people who made the promise are no good liars that I wont give my money to.

Hexadecimal;30352 said:you mean like book versions of star trek or something?
those aren't exactly gems either
Tsuyu;30353 said:Aren't those like those Warcraft novels? They do not tell the tale of the happenings in Warcraft games, but side stories based in the world of the Warcraft universe.
