I have only played this game once but im getting it in november for my b-day!!!
along with a 360 XD

anyways, this co-op thing, do you need live for it or can you hook up 2 controllers and play with someone right beside you with no internet connection?

Yes, you can play with two controllers with Xbox Live.

Its called couch co-op and you can play without internet connection yeah with 2 controllers on split screen.

You can play co-op in the same screen. However the screen isn't split in Fable 2. You and your friend share the same camera. To do that you only require two controllers.
