Hi,
I finally picked Fable up a few days ago, and until now it's been working fine. Suddenly, though, I have a problem. The keyboard lags during play; I use the WASD layout and when I tell him to move, it take one to two seconds after the keypress for any action to happen. The same goes for holding shift and using magic, and pretty well everything else used with the keyboard (note that the mouse works fine.) The one-two second lag is sufficient enough to make gameplay incredibly difficult, so any help is appreciated!

I'm running it on XP.

Could be that the game is actually lagging as your system requirements are struggling.

Use this tool to see how well you should be able to run it:

I'll check that site out, but I don't know if that's the problem.
It ran fine until now on maxed settings. I did set them to the lowest possible to see if that was an issue, but nothing changed.

Tried a complete uninstall and reinstall?

Also make sure nothing else is running at the same time.

Yeah because getting your RAM chewed up by other resources will slow things down and cause lag too.

Yes; the reinstall didn't help. I don't have nay other programs running either, though it might be good to note that all other programs seem to be working fine in this respect.

Tried doing a cleanup or seeing what startup processes you are running?

Before running Fable Check Task manager to see what you available resources are.

Ahh!
I'm running on a freshly reformatted computer. I didn't have a whole lot installed (save for what I kept on the other drive). The only thing I could think that I installed between when it worked and when it doesn't was my antivirus program. I closed the running-in-the-background part, and now Fable works fine
