... how do I get the "Bard" status bar (a.k.a the stripe that makes your name green on the 'whos online list' that says bard under your avatar?)

You get it once you've been promoted to News Editor.

You make news posts enough (quality, non-plagiarised, genuine ones) and the status of Bard may be granted to you in due course, provided the powers that be are satisfied you can commit enough time and effort to the position. People with Bard status are required, as a general rule, to make regular contributions in the news department and those who just make one then do nothing don't stay bards for very long.

thats kinda weird you should call people who regulary like draw pics or write stories do poems and all creative stuff etc. bards and people who update on news Town Cryers ? just an idea
