Re: Dark Forum Skin?
I like Dark. And the DMC forum looks so sexy with those colours.

Sorry for the late reply! Thread only just got revived so figured better late than never... ^_^Gikoku;178174 said:Just to make sure, Steve. If you do add the dark skin, you are going to just make it a secondary skin, and not a replacement?.. Just so other members on here don't have a panic attack or start going on strike.
When is this happening? I bet it'll look nice.projectego;190760 said:Sorry for the late reply! Thread only just got revived so figured better late than never... ^_^
The dark skin would completely replace the light one because the light skin would not support the newer features that came with the vBulletin upgrade.
'Fraid it can only be one or the other. Either light or dark.Blue Will;198228 said:I say YAY!!! That would be cool, but obviously let us have the choice of choosing dark or the original so we can have either or alternate if we get bored of one
Let the choice be there and go for it!!
Some do, yes. We used to. But a lot of webmasters (me included) prefer to only need to work with a single universal template rather than several. The reason for this is because updating one theme is much easier and quicker than updating several. Plus I like to modify the themes to make 'em more unique and inevitably there are bugs left behind. It's an absolute nightmare chasing bugs on a single theme let alone two or three themes!SnowyFable;198235 said:Some forums have a drop-down bar with a list of skins. Maybe try that?
Nah, not really. It wouldn't really make any difference to the server. We've got a really sexy, beefy server powering this place. I know I've mentioend a few times that I don't like installing forum modifications and stuff because they tax the server but that's only because I'm a sucker for optimization. I love seeing a forum page load in, like, 0.00000001 seconds. Each modifcation we install only adds to the page load time, even if it's only 0.00000000000000001 second per installed mod. ^_^poopgod350;204990 said:^ that may overly over tax the server as i hear it is over taxed already

Short version: We have the Chuck Norris of all web servers.
