Dev Confirming No 3-4 Empty Augment Slots

It has been confirmed by a member of the Lionhead Dev Team that 3-4 empty augment slots for normal weapons do not exist:



"As for augmented weapons, there are only 2 slots for normal weapons. I think the halo sword might have 3 slots. Legendary weapons come with 1-3 augments, but they come pre-augmented.

I know the pic you are talking about. Apparently it was photoshop'ed by the poster. I'll certainly take a Lionhead dev's word over a player on the content of the game.

^yes i was just thinking that he prolly edited it. Man i was so hoping to be able to biuld a toltally sick weapon. Well im sure there will be new legendaries on the DLC and maybe more aug slots for weapons.

I share your hopes. I am eager to see what this "augment tool" that was promised by Lionhead will be capable of. As unrealistic and farfetched as it seems, I really hope it enables a few things: the removal of augments, to add more empty slots, and to name your weapon.

I'm sure I saw a 3 slotted master axe when I first played the game or similar, that's why I believed 4 slots was possible. Mind you, it might mean something that I haven't seen one since.

WTF I am certian I got lots of 3 aug wepons. Oh why did I give them away thinking they were worthless. They cost more than the standard 1 augument version by country miles. I know some one else that got a 4 aug weapon. I used to get them from the shopkeepers. Once I get Fable 2 again, I am going to a shop keeper to buy a 3 augument weapon ( I cant get 4 ever!)

Many players are convinced that they have found 3-4 empty slot weapons, but this statement comes straight from a dev of Lionhead. Perhaps they were not meant to be in the game (aka a glitch) so now the programmers in Lionhead are trying to cover their tracks like their mistake for the name with the Highrollers/Explorers Coat? I say this because from what I can gather, Stilts (the dev who made the statement), aapproached the programmers in regards to the question.

I heard a rumor about the staff, or is it? I hope we can buy it in the dlc. I would love a staff as well.

Based on one of the pics of the new DLC, there is indeed what appears to be a horsehead staff, but it seems to just be wielded two handed like a hammer or axe.

Probably just a horse head hammer.
