Digging up the riches of your ancestors

This is my first post, and I looked through alot of the board and used the search as well but found nothing on this topic.

I saw the quotes in two interviews though I cannot find them again, that you might be prompted to "Dig up the riches of your ancestors" or something along those lines, and I was wondering if anyone had the confirmed info on what that means or what you think it might mean.

This would mean having a Fable 1 save game on your Xbox 360 though, or so it seamed to be explained.

I for one think it is just an amount of money that you can find, though I don't know if its just the bank account on your Fable 1 toon, or a combination of real estate value and your bank account, or even if this means properties that they might still own that you can find the deeds too.

It also might just be a prompt to link with your Pub Games characters.

Thanks

Re: Digging up the riches of your ancestors

All I know is I have seen the Hero with a shovel. I'm assuming he can dig up certain things. :)
Welcome to the forums. Not to shabby for a first post. +rep4U.:D

Re: Digging up the riches of your ancestors

Thanks for the reply. I'm currently looking for the quote in the interview, and I know that they will keep the "excavating" that they had in Fable 1, but this was hinting to something unique. Like a one time thing.

Re: Digging up the riches of your ancestors

And speaking of the original, I happened to find a treasure chest in one portion of the game that wouldn't open. A dialogue box popped up that said "Find out how to access the gold and treasure of your ancestors" and pointed me to a URL. Does this mean you will be able to use your original Fable game save to get extra treasure (provided that saved game is actually on your 360)? We will see when Fable II launches exclusively on the Xbox 360 on October 21.

I found this just now finally, but I saw it somewhere else first where they did not talk about a treasure chest. This was from an interview linked off the fable 2 website.

It had better not be an allusion to the pub games. As much as I like PM, that is borderline false advertising.
Most likely, it is part of the plot.

Re: Digging up the riches of your ancestors

I read the same things in a few articles as well. As of right now, nothing is really confirmed, but it would be neat if it had something to do with your Fable save file (for those of us who downloaded it off XBL).

Re: Digging up the riches of your ancestors

Spoiler: There will be dolls again, maybe we dig one up? At least I think that's a spoiler.

Re: Digging up the riches of your ancestors

I can't see the spoiler Moonfever..... i think it's busted....

Re: Digging up the riches of your ancestors

She wrote it in a diffrent color so that you have to highlight it to read it, that way if you dont want to know you dont have to find out.

Re: Digging up the riches of your ancestors

Yes but the background on some of our views is beige, and hence the white she wrote it in shows. But who cares, it's just dolls. lol.

Re: Digging up the riches of your ancestors

=O that interview says 200 years after, if thats true it changes many things old character could still be alive - eg the guild master - hes already hundreds of years old in fable

Re: Digging up the riches of your ancestors

+ must go buy hook coast houses and the last 3 houses in snowspire on tlc

Re: Digging up the riches of your ancestors

Yeah, I've seen many different times given in interviews, though according to Tales of Albion, it is 500 years. All others are a misprint.

Though in the Tales of Albion there are suggestions that certain characters are hundreds of years old, I wont say any more but if this interests you, read it.

Re: Digging up the riches of your ancestors

Future! I want a fable 3 in the future!

Re: Digging up the riches of your ancestors

Rolande, there should be at least two more. I hope so, too. Fable games are my favorite. The story, the npc's talking and interacting, and shopping, for clothes jewelry and furniture. It's endless with what we can do.:)
Oh yeah, and the Battles.:P

I never got all the dolls in TLC. I always played good, and couldn't get them all.

Re: Digging up the riches of your ancestors

does anyone know if the world of albion is bigger than in the first fable

Re: Digging up the riches of your ancestors

there are 12 sections in fable 2, each being the size (or bigger) of the entire world in the first fable
