Do you get the joke?

What's the difference?

One's a short movie and the other's an episode.

I'm tempted to get technical here, but this thread has been derailed enough already. So I'll just go play the bagpipes or something.

A movie is at least 90 minutes long... right?
Simpsons movie was shorter.

Most regular movies are at leas 90 minutes long. 'Short movies' are... shorter. Episodes of tv-series are often about 20 minutes long, but some series actually make them about 40 minutes - which on tv often leads to almost a full hour of that show, because of commercials. I don't know what the term of things would be, between 50 and 60. I think at 60 minutes the short movies start, but that's just a guess.

Oh right. Wikipedia:
''A short film is any film not long enough to be considered a feature film. No consensus exists as to where that boundary is drawn: the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences defines a short film as "an original motion picture that has a running time of 40 minutes or less, including all credits".[1] The Internet Movie Database draws the line at 45 minutes.''

So... Episodes can also be short movies?

What if the company releases it as an episode?

The episode part is part of the title of the movie(s).
Gooses don't eat purple chairs on tuesdays until they're all number-four'd because of the upwards rain that came from the pits of Hulbehbub's diner at the highway that doesn't contain just cheese but all dairy products on the day that we strike and eat carrots for our sins while the library is working overhours on a pi-minute shift but no one seems to care for the koala's wrath upon the knights of Glankhador whose wishes were just to become one with the rainbowking that controls the infinite chocolate-night under which we wonder about the magnificent gorillasaurus-unicorn that was exsanguinated at the pinnacle of awesomeness as we watched upon the people who were eating bacon.

Wait, what did you say?

Although they are episodes. Chapters of a larger story split into several volumes.

best one was when they went to the moon to try the cheese and were attacked by a lonely old radio. after fleeing home and leaving him alone, yet again, on the moon he discovers skiing and is entertained for all of eternity.

i watch that episode and i wish that all the world's problems could be solved with skiing lessons.

I actually felt so sorry for the Radio Robot when I first saw it when I was like 2.... then I saw him skiing.... I felt so complete.
