Do you like post-rock?

If so, if you'd check out my new song (the creatively titled Untitled 1) from my new upcoming EP and give me constructive criticism, I'd be just fine and dandy.

Also, a good friend of mine took the picture on the cover. Pretty, isn't it?

Now, may the opinions begin.

By the way, you may download it for free - but a donation if you enjoy it would be lovely. You don't have to though, obviously.

It's instrumental by the way, no lyrics - as intended.

Cheers.

Re: Do you like post-rock?

While I am not one who would listen to songs outside the metal genre - and even then, very specifically / picky - I must say that this is one damned awesome piece of good instrumental music. I love the atmosphere - if I may call it such - that you create there. Guitar work is pretty awesome too, but that's not my area of specialization.

Also, a nice name you've got there (being, Aludra). I like it.

In short, good work. :)

Re: Do you like post-rock?

Thank you. :) This is post-rock/sludge, and I guess sludge has its roots in metal too, so I guess that's probably why you were able to appreciate it. Thanks!!

Re: Do you like post-rock?

I want to ride on a viking ship in the middle of the night with this song playing. Or any kind of boat for that matter. Epic Rep.

As for constructive criticism... It's a bit long and would be cool with lyrics.

Re: Do you like post-rock?

This is a very good song, and I would love to donate but I have little in the ways of financial authority, but some rep for you, in fact, double rep. The song is very epic, it reminds me sort of the Tristram theme, but quickly grows into something much more, and unique. One of the better non-metal songs I have heard.

If I have the software (Newer PC) and if I have the permission, I would like to upload it to Newgrounds and Youtube with you credited fully.

Re: Do you like post-rock?

I enjoyed it, reminds me of an atmospheric movie soundtrack.

Ever thought of doing soundtracks?

Re: Do you like post-rock?

Hmmm.... Interesting. I like the Pink Floyd style build for the first half or so of the song. Once the metal influences started showing, I started to lose interest, but that's just me.

You a fan of the song Echoes?

No lyrics. Also, the song is the perfect length to me and many others. Why, do you think the song drags?

No thanks, I'll do that by myself if I want it on NG and YouTube. Thanks for the comments, and don't worry about donating.

Yeah, I have. I've done soundtracks before, I should post some.

Echoes by whom? Also, metal influences?

By Pink Floyd, from their album Meddle. It's got a build that feel's a lot like your one. It ebbs and flows very well. Similarly to Shine on You Crazy Diamond.

Just the overdriven, punchy power chords that come in about halfway through the piece. I guess it's not strictly metal, but thats how it sounded to me.

Re: Do you like post-rock?

Meh, the line between rock and metal is massively blurred. But yeah, everyone need's to listen to more floyd.
