A toy doll that apparently says ‘Islam is the light’ has been criticized as inappropriate by American parents.

The Fisher Price doll with fair skin, blond hair and blue eyes, is meant to be a realistic baby that cries when it is hungry and asks for ‘Mama’.

However, some parents have raised concern that one of the doll’s phrases sounds like ‘Islam is the light’ and have written to Fisher Price to complain.

Toy makers Mattel, who own Fisher Price, deny the claim and say the doll’s only programmed phrase is ‘mama’.

The company did admit that because the sound is compressed and played through an inexpensive toy speaker, there may be some distortion in what is heard.

The doll is set to remain in shops across America until further notice.

Mattel has said that any parents with concerns should call their hotline.

Personally I believe it is the same case as with Stairway to Heaven - when you know to look for an alleged satanic message, sure enough you hear it. But if you play it to someone who is totally unaware of it, they'll hear nothing.

islam is evil thats for sure, now they must be trying to hipnotize our infants! this abomination must be stoped! i mean, if enough children realize that there are alternitive beliefs to christianity................ i fear the consiquenses! this evil must be stoped!

I'll tell you what is scary: How demonized Islam has become in USA. Scary and sad. By the sound of that grandma or whatever it seemed like the devil himself was gonna posses the doll and carry of the baby into hell eternal.

its really sad, islam and christianity are almost identical. if islam and christianity where going to schoo, christianity would get in trouble for plagerizing(sp?) islam.

islam= devil worship= terrorist= high gas prices

thats the basic take on islam in america now.

typical brainwased attitude, alternitive belifes are evil and must be abolished.

Who the hell said you were a moron in this thread? What happens in one thread stays in that thread. I am usually fine with people like you unless we are talking about religion or evolution but i don't get mad when i debate and i was trying to help you out earlier when i called you a mind slave. so stop spreading one thread to another and try to keep on topic!


ANYWAY, Islam and Christianity are not that different in fact Islam is to Christianity as Christianity is to Judaism. They are just a continuation of each other.

No not really. But there are similarities. Christianity, Judaism and Islam have a special "bond" between them. The reason why they are alike aren't because Christianity rips of Islam, but when Christianity was formed it was a "rebel faction" from the mainstream religions back then - and those were Judaism and Islam.

You've got the prophet/messiah (Muhammad, Jesus & the Jew(the Jews are still awaiting their Messiah/Prophet)), the One God (which is in essence the same God) and the One Holy Scripture (The Koran, The Bible & The Torah).

actually isn't Islam the newest "mainstream" religion. I could have sworn Christianity was older..... (Oh well. I'll Google it....)

I do recall something about Judaism branching of from one of Abraham's sons, and Islam from another of his sons which seems to indicate that they would be about the same age...

Crap, I graduated school less than a year ago, and its already starting to go away...

Ah yes. The quinky-dink is that Islam wasn't "official founded" until the Prophet Muhammed was given that book by the Arch-Angel Gabriel. The belief in Allah as the one God had been around since way before him though, dating back to Abraham's and his countless sons, passing on through various desert-living tribes until the Prophet Muhammed was given the beforementioned book.

Yes, Isaac and Isaiah. I think Isaac was the Islamic one, the one that well, was against gods "order" of Abraham, and Isaiah, the jew, I believe, who was born under gods conditions. However, as poopgod stated, well, I have no clue anymore.

I really didn't hear anything but random babbling from the toy. Don't know how anyone heard "Islam is the light". And agreed TJ, some housemothers really need a hobby. REALLY.

I guess Fisher Price is the newest terrorist base, huh?
