Domain Names May Offer Plot Hints For Arkham Sequel​

A series of domain names linked to Warner Bros have been uncovered by superannuation, and appear to hint at plot points in the as-yet-unnamed sequel to the thoroughly excellent Batman: Arkham Asylum.

We've already had confirmation (or near-confirmation) of three villains, and now the domain name "stopmayorsharp.com" indicates that schizophrenic warden Quincy Sharp (who escaped at the end of the first game) could be returning in a political role.

Other domains such as "batmanashesofgotham.com," "batmanseigeofgotham.com," and "waringothamcity.com" effectively reiterate what the early teaser trailer showed us - that the second game will be using the streets of Gotham as its primary locales. They may also indicate working titles.

Arkham Asylum's sequel was a no-show at E3, but the upcoming Comic Con may provide an opportunity for more information to be released by Rocksteady.​

Given that it has been established that the sequel to Arkham Asylum takes place outside of Arkham Asylum, I don’t think that it would make much sense to call it “Arkham Asylum 2.”

Also, despite not remembering this, the internet informs me that Arkham Warden Quincy—an original Arkham Asylum character—was running for mayor of Gotham in the first game, so I think it wouldn’t be a leap to assume these registrations are related to the sequel.​

Interesting and im glad they are putting more thought into naming the sequel and linking it to the story of the game.

Sounds great, been hoping it would be in Gotham City. The thought of stopping crime and whatnot in the city with Arkham Asylum's mechanics gets me a little excited. ^_^
