so fable 2 was getting old so i thought i try fallout 3 so i went and brouht it the story line is way to long and sometimes it dosent give you the points if you talk to the wrong person or if you kill the queen ant when it says its says you can kill it if you want

if you have it tell me what you think of it and if i can make my gameplay better

i also brought it becuase of the guy with the yellow hair

Everything Bethesda ever touches turns to gold. An RPG is made to be an in depth game, much unlike Fable 2. The best RPG to date was developed by Bethesda Software. Many of you here should know which one it is! Fallout 3 is an awesome game! If you can't figure it out, then RPGs are not for you. Fable 2 is to be considered more of an "Action Strategy" game.

Fallout 3 is excellent and saying dont buy it is like telling someone to walk into a sweet shop and buy nothing. Its got a little bit of something that everyone likes and ive known people who hate the first person genre who absolutely love the game. At the end of the day its one of the best games released in the last 2 years and your points seem petty.

The story isnt long at all i found myself wanting more to be honest as the main quests are around 20 hours long. However the side quests are the most fun and i did one playthrough that lasted 57 hours and now on my second playthrough doing something different and 23 hours in. Thats more than ive played any game in some time so i have respect for Bethesda for making a game where i feel that my choices have a huge impact on the world.

I've still been addicted to Fallout 3 ever since I got it for Christmas. I'm not even a fan of 1st-Person games (I've yet to even finish Bioshock and pop-in The Orange Box), yet I can't seem to find myself to put down Fallout 3 long enough to enjoy my other new/old games. Course, I mainly play Fallout 3 in 3rd-Person (Resident Evil 4 style).

In comparison to Fable 2, I find Fallout 3 to be more immersive. The moral choices in the game get to me far better than Fable 2 does, I just don't feel any sense of guilt after killing a whole town in Fable 2, yet I do in Fallout 3.. maybe because Fable 2 is too comical to make me care about the people I kill. Plus there are way too many NPC clones in every city, yet no NPC clones in Fallout 3.

The story is not at all difficult to understand either, and I feel the main story is rather short. However you could spend around 200hrs just exploring the hundreds of locations scattered around the wasteland. The radiant AI also makes for a unique playthrough each time, i had an epic random battle in one of playthroughs involving over 20-30 combatants... that random moment never happened again in any of my other playthroughs.

Although I do find Fable 2 to be a more gorgeous looking game than Fallout 3 (environmental-wise), I find Fallout 3 to simply have more freedom than Fable 2 with consequences that actually make feel bad, although I would like to have some form of relationship building in Fallout 3 with the NPCs (ya know, just to give me something else to do with them).

yep i agree with everyone that loved fallout 3... its an excellent game! I was originally hoping it'd be longer much like oblivion as far as the main quest goes... and a lot more side quests but it was still a freakin awesome game!! Bethesda is a great company tht really makes quality..Plus fallout already has 3!!! bonus packs lined up for these first three months of 09'!
and hopefuly they'll follow through with many more!... :]

K fable 2 and fallout 3 in a log shot are the best rpgs i ever played. Fallout 3 is amazing. You just dont know how to play. I have beaten the main storyline quests now im playing again to complete evrything. There is so much to do!

having played fallout 3 once for a little while, i think that fallout 3 and fable 2 dont compair. seriously, they dont compair. they are so entirly different that the are not rival games. sure they are both rpgs, but they are totally different and can be enjoyed seperatly. there is no need to hate fallout 3.

They both do have some things in common. The only differences I see are the art directions, the atmosphere, the comical characters of Fable 2 vs. the realistic characters of Fallout 3, the story, and the battle mechanics. That's pretty much it..

Both have put an emphasis on freedom, open-world exploration, being Good/Neutral/Evil, although Fable 2 leans more towards a Sims style experience with certain things (as opposed to F3). Having consequences based on your actions, and moral choices etc.

They could still be compared, and both could take a few pointers from each other (despite their differences).

just like with the elder scrolls games...this game really does need a strategy guide for a complete 3D view of it. i would recommend buying one stealing one or just going to www.gamefaqs.com and reading a lesser player created one. don't give up on fallout yet, just try using a guide...and i mean that!

Fallout 3 is one of the greatest games out there and this does not even qualify as half a reason not to get it.
