Peter molyneux should be hit in the head with a rock.

Why would he start talking about his new game and telling us things that he will not follow through with. He has done this with every game he has made. I am willing to bet that we may not even get the dog in the new game.

Fable and TLC both were released way to soon. The bugs in the game are so bad some times I have to go to another game and come back because of frustration. Its bad to send
Crap
out to your gamers.

Fable is a grate game, but it was poorly written and poorly released. The new game is on the same track. I would rather see Blizzard take over the project.
Since were in the pub, any one want to make a bet on how many updates we will need to play fable 2?

You know, you might be right. Fable 2 might turn out like Fable 1. But isn't that why we forgive and forget? Lionhead is now more dedicated, more passionate, and above all else more efficient in their works with Fable 2 and I am sure that it will not fail, not on my watch at least.

Fable 1 might of had its faults, yet it still amazed many for its creativity, ingenuity even. And to say it is crap would mean you to forget mistakes many other developers, like Blizzard I might add, presented many times.

And I can assure you, if Blizzard took over Fable 2, it would be utter crap. I'm not saying Blizzard is a bad company or anything, it's just that, like I say, 'the shoe fits in the owner's feet'. Meaning that Fable 2 cannot be created by any other company except Lionhead, because Lionhead began it.

And sometimes, I don't know. Sometimes I'm not sure if something will turn out to be good or not, and yet I still read the news from Lionhead, and I still watch the videos and discuss on the forums, not because of how famous they are or how tall they can be, but because I have enough hope that, like their other games, Fable 2 will succeed.

You should never doubt someone just because of the past, that's ignorant and absurd. Rather you should take it in and look at what's in front of you...like the Lionhead Video Diaries :lol:. I understand you think it's a great game, but you can't judge a book by it's predecessors ;)

How is it on the same track? In the newest Lionhead diary I saw the dog walking around the hero. He wouldn't put such detail and work into something and then not include it? He's hardly telling the players anything, and we hardly know anything about the game. Just because you don't like what he's saying or what he's doing doesn't give you any right to want to be violent towards him, like hitting him with a rock. :unsure::( He has every right to make the game the way he wants without worrying about people Complaining about not getting what they want. which is what you're doing. :( Unless you have a copy of the game and can factually tell me that all the things he's mentioned are not going to be in the game, then there's really no truth behind your claims. :wacko: I'm not trying to be mean or anything. It would be horrible to see blizzard take over the project, plus they're far too busy with Starcraft II and Wow.

Did you even see this weeks diary? What with being able to jump fences and run faster.

Really what Lionhead should do is Gag there staff. It well could turn out to be a grate game, but if they keep talking about it, and leaking info about it, they will build up hopes for it so high it won't be able to live up to expectations.

KOTOR was a grate game, and I was a bit disappointed with Knights of the Old Republic II. But there was no promises made before it came out, that I heard. It was still a good game, and I paid $55 for it.

Fable 2 has to much fanfare now. If I was in charge of it, I would tell everyone we canceled the project and were working on a grate on line Multi player Black Jack game for xBox live. Shut down the web site and finish the game right without the pressure from outside.

I work fine under pressure, but most don't. Programmers (I could never be one) need a quiet space with freedom to move and think on there own. I have been around program development alot.

Have you ever worked for a big company with a grand mission statement? It looks good on paper, but on the office or factory floor, things run how they run, and no mission statement will ever change that. So Lionhead might be telling us there dedicated to Fable 2, but what were they doing with the games before? LOL

I won't watch the video logs because if there is any truth in them, the game will come out ok. If there feeding us a line of p00... then I won't be disappointed when the game comes out.

..But no info has been leaked. No ones talking about ANYTHING ANYWHERE. :unsure: :wacko: There lips ARE sealed. The only things we know are.
  • You can play as a female
  • You can have children
  • You get a dog
  • You get to buy everything
  • You jump over Fences
  • You run fast.
....o_o...
And most of the things like, Children and such, they already had coding for in fable. Coding, and Text, and Things that were supposed to happen. Which means they already had the coding ready.

Their lips are as sealed as Hironobu Sakaguchi's lips on Lost Odyssey & Cry On. And that's very little.

I agree that it would be horrible to blizzard take the project, and I live 7000 miles from Lionhead and I'm not getting on a plane to preform a violent act.

There are people of actions, and people of words. I prefer to take action, and surprise people with what I do. I don't tell everyone all about it and then a few months/years later do it. I have projects in the fire that my wife doesn't even know about, and I have been working on them for years.

Have you ever noticed that the worst movies will run the most TV adds to try to get you to see it.

I have no expectations for the new game, and I am asking for nothing. I play my games when I have a good one, and then there will be a period of time where there will be nothing for me to play but old ones. Like now. LOL

Never worrier about being mean to me here, I'm a big boy and I can take it. A forum is for expressing your self right. I just hope someone from Lionhead reeds this and thinks about what I said.

You have given me a whole list of things we know about the game. Thats a Leek! I haven't got a game in my hand yet, so its not released, and everything you know about can be changed between now and then.

Without people like Peter Molyneux with the vision the games industry would be a boring place. They dont deliver on everything because for the most part it isnt possible and they just speak about ideas that people take as a promise. The only fanfare has been caused by us... the fans and our expectations and not what they have promised this time around. Also KOTOR II wasnt made by Bioware and was created by Pandemic Studios.

That's how you work. That doesn't mean the whole world has to Make games and work on projects the way you do. O.o

I have no expectations for the new game, and I am asking for nothing. I play my games when I have a good one, and then there will be a period of time where there will be nothing for me to play but old ones. Like now. LOL

A leak is when a person working on the team goes against there team/company wishes, and tells the press news and other things about the game. Information that we get from Lionheads own website is not a leak and is not subject to change, it's information about the game. =]

How can you say there is no fanfare Dark when they have a toolbar for IE and a web site all full of information about the new game. There running adds on network TV for god sake. That alot more fanfare than I have seen for a game in awhile. Halo3 level or better. Do you think we can buy the new game with a plastic sword?

Nothing will beat the Halo 3 hype, i mean it had real life movie shorts as ads and full filmed ads costing £10 million easily. I havent seen one advert on TV for Fable 2 at all, and most games have toolbars you can download for updates, thats nothing new. A web site about the game...? Every single game on the market has a website about the game...

Drunkles is right. Every game that ever comes out has a website.
And the lionhead website is about..Just Lionhead. And the tool bar is for lionhead related updates. Not all of it has to do with fable 2. :D

ive read all the posts on this thread so far. and ive seen some good ones. Dark and Markie are right. Besides, PM has a level head on his shoulders. He will make the game amazing if u ask me. Not much has been revealed about the game at all. Just a few quick details to get us hyped for the game.
Remember what Srg. Johnson said " Its the calm before the storm, enjoy it while you can." i think u know what i mean by that.=]

I have full faith in Peter and the Lionhead team. Sure Fable was lacking, but what game is perfect? As for Fable 2 things seem to be going on the right track. Nobody knows anything about it, so obviously they don't want to ruin any surprises. Also they are working diligently to make it an amazing game. Don't try to rebel against the system in place, the majority of us know that Fable 2 will kick ***, so don't try and fight it.

Like I care. This guy is like the others who come here to criticise Fable 2 and Lionhead. Its not going to work, seeing as this is a sight populated by FABLE LOVERS, and full of people who are going to defend it.
