Re: Drop Kick Peter

True, Fable might not have lived up to what Peter said but it was still an awesome game none the less, he knows he made a mistake and is working to fix it, I believe this was his 1st Rpg was it not?

I agree that it would be horrible to blizzard take the project, and I live 7000 miles from Lionhead and I'm not getting on a plane to preform a violent act.

Re: Drop Kick Peter

We're like a giant manifestation of fan power. I reckon if we all fused, we would form some giant stay puft monster or something.

Anyway, I don't care how many times a game is advertised or is talked about, so long as the end result is alright.

Besides, I'd rather fight with a common ally than cheer for someone that I hardly care about. Seriously man...Blizzard? That's like putting Mr. T in the Martha Stewart show...it will never work! Being unique and innovative is all that matters when it comes to games, in the longrun, not to mention entertaining the player.

Also, you're implying, sir wants to kick Peter, that if a company shows an ad for something the game will AUTOMATICALLY FAIL. The hell? They've been showing those sock-em bopers (more fun than a pillow fight) since like the 90's and they never die!

Not to mention that companies need ads to get their message heard. I mean, if you don't count the internet, are companies supposed to hold up giant signs in the middle of the frigen highway advertising? Or will there be a hotline, where Lionhead will call you every day with the same message, BUY FABLE 2, simultaneously.

.....

Alright guys...looks like we dealt with another one. But hater's beware.

Re: Drop Kick Peter

I wouldn't know where to begin when it comes to creating an RPG of Fable quality, let alone something bigger and better so I'm in awe of anyone who can make stuff like this. It's all very well complaining about how a game is not what you want it to be, but unless you can do any better, is there a point to getting so worked up that you vomit?

Just wait until the game comes out and then we can all complain like one big happy fanboy family :D

How can you say there is no fanfare Dark when they have a toolbar for IE and a web site all full of information about the new game. There running adds on network TV for god sake. That alot more fanfare than I have seen for a game in awhile. Halo3 level or better. Do you think we can buy the new game with a plastic sword?
The toolbar was designed by a fan not Lionhead. As a designer it would be important to get the word out on what you are doing in order to sell it. There is of course a balance to be had. I think that the balance is working out rather nicely. Everything that has been talked about has been scrutinized and planned. A well designed marketing campaign will have the public the most excited at the time of release. which is only 10 Months away and Lionhead and especially Peter Molyneux still is has a lot of things left to show.

Re: Drop Kick Peter

requirements for fable 2 (for me anyways):lot's of blood, creative combat, and the ability to pick up body parts and put them on spears

as long as i get that,i'm fine.
