You can do jobs in Brightwall, go exploring, sell things at the pawn shop, etc.

There are three jobs in the world of albion.
Lute hero, pie maker or blacksmith.
I think all of these are available in town, but I'm not sure about blacksmithing.
I find piemaking to be the easiest job, but i guess it's individual.

Go up the hill towards the furniture store, clothing store, and vending stalls. There are job opportunity signs there. The Pawnbroker is right next to the entrance to the town, next to the pub; you likely have some gems to sell at this point.
