So just wondering why we can't edit Private Messages, or rather only have a short time lapse in which we can. If this feature could be implemented at any time in the future then I'll cook a three course meal for all three admins and both moderators.

Just checked it out for ya - apparently, you should have ten minutes with which to edit your PMs before the option disappears. If you're certain that the option never even turned up for you in the first place, then I can properly look into it for you.

XenForo can be a bit finicky at times, so it's likely that a certain setting might be conflicting with another, or something. I'll up it to 30 mins any way.

Yeah I can edit it for a few minutes, but can't it be open to editing at any time like posts on the forums?

No, you're not allowed to edit your anger filled rage post you made in the heat of the moment and regretted later. 8D

M'man Gikoku directed me here to complain about the fact that your apparently can't edit any posts anymore?

Or at least I can't?

But then I see that this thread is talking about PMs, not general posts?

And then I'm just all confused.

EDIT: Hmmm... okay, so it does look like the time delay thing is just standing for these posts, too. Me no likey.

Changed the thread title for less confusion, since this new time limit affects posts in general as well.

But I'm wondering Steve, if this has to do with a setting/bug for the member groups? The staff aren't being affected at all by this (I'm still able to edit posts from eons ago).

Yeah, but you guys can edit all posts, can you not? I imagine there's a whole different set of settings for moderators and such.

The forum spasmed out yesterday and made me triple post, and then I could only delete one of them the rest Giki had to delete.

Indeed, we can (even the Admins' posts) and I'd imagine you're right but this is all beyond me . Seems a lot of things have been borked from the new server upgrade though (little things missing for me right now).

Yeah, did the same to me earlier today. Tried to post and then it failed to send (just kept showing the loading bar in upper right), then had to try it again. Getting some minor lag in the loading times as well, I know it can't be my connection because all other websites I visit are just fine.

OH HAI!

We're all sick right now, I'm afraid, so I have no idea when Steve can look into this properly but knowing him he'll try to get on later if possible and attempt to not chuck up all over the keyboard whilst he checks things out for you all (if it's still a problem, of course)

If not then hopefully he'll be ok to get online tomorrow at some point.

I... The edit limit made me cry. So I'm telling on it.

The naughty thing wouldn't let me edit a post I made 13 minutes ago. So mean. When I make typos(and I make a lot of them) I feel compelled to edit them, otherwise they bug the crap out of me. But sometimes I don't notice until later when it's too late and then the nasty edit limit laughs at me and calls me names. :'(

Please can it be told off? And then expanded? Then we can go back to playing nice.

EDIT:WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!1!1!!1!!11

Well, if we can't get the limit to somehow be removed, then at least a 1-day limit? Maybe?

The double-post count among members is starting to rack up.. not that I have a problem cleaning it up. Just y'know, I feel their pain.
