Overshadowed by the crazy success of another early access survival game (Palworld) another early access survival title launched yesterday which had previously taken Steam Next Fest by storm. Enshrouded's demo was a certified hit when it was shown at Steam Next Fest in Oct 2023.

The game is a blend of Valheims setting and forgiving survival systems and Dark Souls style large foe boss fights. It also boasts 16 player co-op and the crafting and building elements which are expected of games in the genre.

The game is the same price as Palworld and currently sits at an 83% Very Postive rating (some negative reviews based on a day 1 multiplayer issue that has already been patched)

After launching so close to the viral success of Palworld, Enshrouded has still managed some impressive numbers for an early access survival title. Ratings have improved on the initial 83% Very Positive rating to 85% Very Positive, they attracted over 1 million players and have entered the top 15 most played games of all time on Steam.

It looks like the game could also have a bright future and as the player base drops off the initial buzz for Palworld it could be perfectly placed to grab the attention of those players.

Purchased this game last week and have to say that for survival game fans or fans of Valheim this game is fantastic.

Developers have just released an extensive roadmap for 2025 and also just dropped a huge update too which is detailed in the video below.
