Ever seen anything like this?
I awake and look around the room. My gameboy advance is still on in my hands. I dozed off. This bunk bed is too short somehow. I hold my breath, The room is as cold as ever. I look up at the ceiling and wish I hadn't. It's dark and completely covered with the shadows from the tree outside our house. I now see shapes of death and carnage- I avert my gaze and look back at the one beacon of light I have. My Gameboy.
I see the battery is dying. That's obviously what I get for leaving it running. It's 10 I think. It's dark, And cold and I'm scared. My thoughts are running in a loop. Probably because it's dark and- I look at the ceiling and pretend I'm not awake. The bed is suddenly too short and my feet are touching the foot board of it... I look down at my feet and notice the door is slightly open. Why didn't I see that before?
I felt like I was losing it. I stayed up a little too late. I watched the door as a 3-4 foot tall Figure slips in. All shadow-y. It hasn't seen me yet. Must be my little brother... But he's snoring below me. My other little brother then. I close my eyes and open them again. I will this figure to leave, I was already scared enough. I finally pass the line of being scared to being annoyed, I'll press on pretending like I think it's my brother. "Nate, Go to bed. Really. I'll get dad up if you don't."
This figure looks at me slowly, Looks at the wall, Looks at me, Then pulls itself backwards onto a nearby dresser. "Go to bed, Nate." I repeat. It hops in an exaggeratedly slow motion and lays backwords into the toy bin. After 6 or so minutes of watching I finally lose sight of the shadow in the dark toybin. I lean back and look up at the ceiling... What was that? I hopped off the bed quickly and flip on the light. Nothing is there, Of course.
What the **** was that I saw? I wrote this 5 years ago when this happened...
I was ****ed off when I went to tell others, nobody but my Dad and best friend believed me on it. I tried telling one of my friends, and he said a boy of about 6 lived here and died in the tree in the backyard. We moved a year later, and I was ****ed. Damn kid dying ruined my credibility!
