Fable 3 To Include '47 Hours Of Dialogue'​

Develop 2010: George Backer, Audio Producer at Lionhead has talked about the mammoth amount of voice recording required for Fable III

The final game will include over 47 hours of voiced dialogue, which, according to Backer amounts to 460,000 words. Background characters won't repeat themselves either, with each of the 32 different types of AI able to spout around 2,000 different lines.

The game has one of the most impressive videogame casts of all time - Backer revealed that star names such as John Cleese and Jonathan Ross are actually part of an 80-strong cast.

The Lionhead man also detailed how Peter Molyneux oversees "freestyle" sessions with actors during development to ensure key dramatic sequences are on track before voice recording and motion capture sessions.​

I hate when there's a lot of dialogue, I just want to get to the game. Didn't PM mention he hated that too in an interview?

Im all for this, lots of dialogue so long as its well voiced and appropriate can make games so much more immersive and fill the story out much better. Fable has been known for lacking memorable story and having a mute hero so hopefully this is a big step in the right direction.

I think its not just for story missions but like when you walk around and hear people talk.

Wow. That's a lot of dialogue. Nice to hear though. Fable 2 seemed to lack dialogue, and when it was there, it wasn't very good.

That a lot of dialogue, sounds great. I believe voice acting puts soul into the characters. And with a star studded cast, Peter was right about having the greatest cast of any game.

Trust me guys, this game is gonna to be sweet.

Fable 2's dialogue was so inept I cried. I really hope they manage to add some sort of decent storytelling experience.

I have not been dissastisfied by any of the dialugue cause each had its shunung moments, F1 had snarky comments, F2 had little more dark british humor, but i hope they don't bring back these two things: F1 "Hero your health is low" F2 "When are we gonna get married?" (10 times at once in bowerstone market place)

i think they meant the final version not the last of the fable series cause it prbly continue till they run out of ideas

Yes, PM has said that they will continue onto Fable 4, 5, etc. So all can rest easy, I HAVE SAVED YOU!
