Fable just doesn't want to install

Ok, but I can't seem to decipher what sound card I have :(

The black out-lined thing is the list of sound cards they have in the download link supplied by the Microsoft error page. Behind that is my sound card thing

Try installing these sound drivers (just select regular Audigy):

Customer Support: Downloads

Oh, right I miss read what you posted, sorry. Yes I "acquired" WindowsBlinds lol :D

But yea, didn't I install that windows update yesterday.

And are you saying WindowsBlinds could be the cause of the problem?

(Sephy) I installed the game a loooong time ago... I only take disc 1 around with me because you need it to play the game.

Oh and I am pretty sure its not the mods Todd and Drakan. No offense, but I am confident that if I get a new disc it will work...

Hah! Disabling WindowsBlinds worked! I'm creating a character profile on Fable now!

Hey for cleaning this disc, what do you reckon I should use? I've been trying to use a towel but no luck.

Says I should use cotton and alcohol... Where am I gonna get that? I'm not gonna waste any beer man.

Cleaning alcohol....O.o just use something soft thats not going to scratch disc.


Pick something up and see, not hard to tell that a rough cloth or paper towel will scratch disc to pieces. I just use a soft T-Shirt to wipe my discs clean and sometimes alcohol cd cleaning wipes.

Thanks, but for some reason the video options are grayed out, so I can't turn my texture detail and so-on up. Why?

GFX card might not be able to take it, perhaps its just set on optimal settings.

All that is, is the draw distance has been set to low thats all.
