Fable TLC PC Help

I figured you guys would know more about the game, inside and out so I decided to ask. I'm playing through Fable TLC for the first time on my PC. I'm into the expanded content now, just before I go to Archon's Shrine for a Gold Quest. I'm trying to turn in the Hero Doll quest, I have all six dolls (Doll of me, Briar Rose, Maze, Thunder, Scarlet Robe, and Scythe) but for some reason I can't turn it in. I have not finished the Book Collection quest, but I can't figure out what book I'm missing. Whenever I talk to the blasted teacher he gives me that bogus "Book of Spells, this isn't a school of magic" line. I just wanted to know if maybe anyone encountered this and has a solution. Thanks in advance for the help guys.

Ah, the book collection quest - drives nearly everyone mad, to be honest.

Have you been to the shop in Oakvale and bought/stolen all the books he has? If you are a good hero you may have to forgo goodness for a bit in order to steal if necessary. Check the guild library too and all houses/shops in the available areas.

Check this thread for more information - seriously, so many people have had this problem so don't worry Hero Dolls/Book Quest

Indeed I have. I'm more of a "gray" hero. I really don't care which way I roll, I do what I want. I've raided all the houses, twice.

I dont care even if they make a solution or patch for this game..I loved it up until this book crap and expression garbage...not only have I dont the fable2.com thing and have been told I got the nasty expression, I just sat down for 2 hours getting the other 2 off of the pub games. Can you guess? I have no clue where the hell they are, and everytime I try to claim my treasure at the guild, it tells me to go to Fable2.com. If these morons want us to buy Fable 3, they better fix this s**t real fast.

How twice? Not thorough enough the first time? I thought the houses didn't get restocked...

What the hell are you talking about... the chest in there is for bonus content... if your flaming fable 2... this is the wrong place.

Anyway... raid all the houses in the whole game.. snowspire.. bowerstone n & s... oakvale... knothole glade.... hook coast...
