Another huge, huge improvment that they really shouldn't have had in Oblivion in the first place; Scaling with your level. Fallout won't have that crap.

You can find and tangle with Super Mutants at level 1, but you most likely won't come out the victor. But the Super Mutants shouldn't just magically start to appear because you've reached a certain level, they should always be a constant danger should you venture too far into dangerous areas, no matter what level you are.

That's a good point... it kind of aggravated me that monsters kept levelling with you so that you never got to really enjoy the fruits of all your levelling and really become an unholy super beast cause the enemies were always somehow keeping up at all times... and you never got to a fight you couldn't handle and had to come back...
I like that they've changed it... I get what they were trying to do, but this way works a lot better ^_^

Haha. Yeah. And getting new equipment never did get you that feeling of "Yes, now I am more powerful!" It was more of a... arms race, trying to match the leveling opponents.

Like Goblins; When I had gotten some nice Daedric gear I was gonna get some payback and blam! Goblin Warlords - not quite so whimpy as normal Goblins!

I didn't like that about Oblivion either. Where's the fun that you get from total slaughtering what used to be hard to kill.

Especially in a Fallout game - it is a tradition. If you can't become a porn star, a pimp or a prostitute it just aint Fallout.
