Final Dye Pack!?

I told you all. I WARNED YOU ALLLLLL. The bugs would be the worst thing in Fable 3, but oh no, none of you listened.

I'm also surprised at how many people didn't get the DLC when it was available. I got the hair pack, the dye pack, and the dog potion, and I'm rocking it up in my black afro right as we speak.

The new spokesman of Lionhead answers this question himself:

I really wanted a black dye for the practical princess top....the grey dye just dyes it a slightly dark grey.

a fully darkened Kahki actually makes a better black

A fully darkened Khaki only makes a dark green color, not black. It only looks black when you're standing around in an area with poor lighting (i.e. the Sanctuary).

So in order to get the last dye pack we have to spend more money? Thanks Lionhead, I really appreciate how you're treating your fans.

Am *I* the only person on Fable III that does NOT have the ability to make the colors of their dyes *dark*? I seriously have NO idea what ANY one is talking abt when they state that they can make "X" dye the darkest color and it appears *almost* black. Not only does it appear FAAR from black, it is barely the color the dye is supposed to be! "Darkest Red" looks almost orange! Khaki looks like faint green (at it's darkest), darkest blue is light blue, etc! I can't get anything to even look grey, my darkest grey is still a very bright color. What's weird is the right stick that shows you the color depth scale is extremely innacurate. I've also tried putting colors on top of other colors to see if this is how you guys supposedly got "black", but that's not possible either. Suckage.

You know, I obtained the black dye (and the other DLC dyes that no one would ever use) and once I had it, I experimented a bit and decided it was too bland. The black is SO black that it steals all the texture away from whatever you put it on. Now I'm back to imitating the Albion army colors of red and brown.

Use the right thumbstick to change the brightness of the dye

haha... i wish i knew what you guys were talking about. i guess i should play the game first huh?

when is this *Free* chapter coming im going to be ****ed if i have to spend more ms points on Free weapons and Free dye packs if anyones wondering the dye dog and armour dlc's are back on the market

I agree that the final dye pack being sold is a completely harsh choice to do... But I have heard from a friend that it is possible to obtain it for free once you have collected all the flowers from Aurora, I don't know if it's true or not but thought it was worth mentioning...

Not true. Unless there's an area you go to pick up the dyes after you complete the quests then no. I got all the flowers and still had to buy the dye pack.

I had trouble with this too, but you need to actually dye the item each time you change the scale. So if you dye a top red and want to make it darker/lighter, you need to thumb the right thumbstick to change the position on the scale, and then dye it again.

I've come not all that close to black except with certain garments that are already dark to begin with - such as the mercenary top (female version) and a couple sets of gloves.

I can deal with it. But would really prefer to give my character black hair, and it matters not how high you pull the scale - that brown colour is not at all close to black. The whole hair-dye-system in general isn't all that great. Fable II had the capital there.
