Square-Enix recently re-released the PC version of Final Fantasy VII, which has been optimized for modern day PC's (simply meaning that it will run smoothly). No changes to the game have been made, and when I say no changes have been made, I mean none. The is a carbon copy of the original PC port, complete with .MIDI music and all. The only things added are achievements, character boosting (basically; easy mode for the extremely lazy), and online profiles.
Note: that you must be connected to the internet to play. It does not store saved games locally, but rather saves them to 'the Cloud'. (lololol)
I, personally, have played around with it a bit, because I'm an addict. It's the exact same game. But for people who have never played FFVII before, it is a good opportunity to do so.

ALSO NOTE: Character Booster boosts your character's HP/MP to maximum, and gives you the maximum amount of Gil (99,999,999), and these changes are IRREVERSIBLE.

Hmm... this is indeed a good chance to finally try the classic I never played. I already have a dream team in mind (looking at you, Cait Sith and Red XIII).

I might wait a few days/a couple of weeks. The purchase system isn't running smoothly (it took a while for me to purchase it), some people aren't getting their confirmation emails to register their games, and there are some weird graphic bugs going on. I would wait and see if they have any plans to patch the game.

Now this is something I didn't think they would ever do, very nice. I still have my original copy of the PC version, now if they can do this for FF8 and FF9, I'll be a happy camper.

After talking to you about it for a bit on Steam, I'm considering just using my credit card to buy this.

Does it support 1920x1080 resolution?

Starting another stream soon
