Final Fantasy VII

Ok, played it. Finished it. (Best FF game, BTW)
I love the story, amazing characters, etc.
BUT
What's the story actually about?

Disc One: I understand.
Disc Two (First Half): Yep.
Disc Two (Second Half): WTF?
Disc Three: Omfg, Wtf?

Shinra.. Sephiroth.. Materia.. I dunno.
It just got out of hand on Disc Two.

Can anyone ACTUALLY explain to me 100% what exactly happened?

Re: Final Fantasy VII

Lets see if I can't break it down a bit.

I'll start where you seem to be confused, which was when you visit Northern Crater, right?

Cloud's memories were fundamentally altered by Hojo when he and Zack were captured and experimented on. This left him open to becoming Sephiroths pawn.

The Sephiroth you see up until the Northern Crater (where he is encased in Materia) is Sephiroth's projection of himself (goes to show how powerful he is) basically using magic to create a fake him until he gathered the resources to free himself (with Cloud's help) using the Black Materia.

The weapons are released from Northern Crater after this. The weapons go absolutely insane because Sephiroth is toying with their heads, trying to destroy the planet rather than protect it (which is what they were created to do).

Afterwards, Cloud suffer mucho Mako Poisoning and becomes a vegtable until he and Tifa fall into the Lifestream where they are given the chance (by the planet itself) to reconstruct Cloud's past piece by piece.

They then proceed to return to Northern Crater and kick Sephiroth's and JENOVA's asses.

That the explanation you were looking for?

A lot of this is actually much easier to understand if you play FFVII: Crisis Core. But I was confused at first too until I took a step back and read through the story again.

Re: Final Fantasy VII

Definitely the Best Game in the Series. Easy Configurations, Memorable Characters, Kick Ass Weps, Epic Game!!!! It's being remade for the PS3. Once it is released, only then, will I buy a PS3!!!

...No.

Either you link me to the official announcement or that is, once again, simply rumor.

Re: Final Fantasy VII

I liked both FFVII and FFVIII(prefer eight though). They were both enjoyable and fun^_^.They were also quite long and a bit hard(especially the last boss fight in FFVIII).I didn't like the fact that you were able to miss out on some of the characters in FFVII(you actually can miss out on them):realmad:.I missed out on Yuki and Vincent:((but got all the rest). This both very fun and enjoyable games. Both get a 10/10!:D
