Find the Archeaologist.

I completed the quest (the one where he's hiding behind a demon door) but I can't find his journal, do you get it later in the game?

His journal? I'm pretty sure it's in a chest or lying around in the room inside the demon door somewhere. If it's required for the quest, then yes, I remember it being on the ground.

If not, well, I have no idea.

I don't recall a real journal. I think it was just said for the heck of it.
