Firefox Won't Open, WTF Man!??!?!?!?!

Alright, it all starts up not too long ago, when I'd try to open Firfox, and it would crash frequently, until I hit the "Restart Firefox" button enough, then it would open. Now, when I go to open it, the hourglass appears, and then it just stops, and even the process stops. Now I am stuck using IE to tell all of you this, and it is bugging me beyond words.

I've tried many things, closing the process in the task manager, scanning for any viruses, Kaspersky says nothing is there, and I've even tried running it in all compatablity modes, the only thing left is to kill Bill Gates for the monstrosity that is Windows Vista, or uninstall Firefox, and then reinstall it. I only have a bunch of random ass add-ons, so I really don't care too much about those, and google has failed me in supplying me with helpful answers. Now, anyone wanna help me with this? And as a start, I'm gonna get a new Firefox, then check back here.

EDIT: Okay, I reinstalled it, gave me an option to keep my addons so I did, and it opened after hitting the "restart Firefox" option like 15 times, so if it ****s me over again I'm either going to try Google Chrome, or reinstall and get rid of addons. And a little help with this crashing problem would be nice too!

Grahhhhk!!! I hate using IE, it's horrible. Going to gladfully get the FF install. And rep to both of you for showing at least an ounce of concern, although I know you just want the rep. :lol:

FireFox recently got an upgrade. They had re-do the upgrade because there was problems with the first one. Maybe that's the problem?

Sometimes FireFox doesn't close right. It may say it's off your bar, but it's not.

I press: Ctrl+Alt+Del

Click on Task Manger.

Go to the Process Tab.

Scroll till you find " firefox.exe. "

Click on it, and press End Task.

That helps me A LOT. Sometimes it won't open... but ending the task and then opening helps me.

Its done this to me before....all I did is what I usually do without getting too technical and attemtping to fix it 'properly':

1. Restart PC/Laptop
2. Clear Cookies/Temp Files/History the lot *Use IE if you have to
3. Run Defragment - odd but it works usually for me
4. Anti-Virus
5. Restart Again

It may start working after any of the points made, if I run all that lot it tends to completly clear all problems I'm having at the time ^__^

I have the same problem, but it only occurs on certain sites (new projectego skin too btw).

I've seen it but I haven't used it. I really hate IE...

EDIT: WOW. JUST WOW. It worked. It opened when I did that. No crash report window thing at all. Wow, I'm gonna close it and open it a bunch of times to see if it was a fluke or not.

EDIT 2: It works when I open it, but all my toolbars and stuff are deactivated. You know what this means? Oh yeah, it is one of my addons. So I'm gonna uninstall ALL OF FIREFOX AND ALL TO DO WITH IT and then reinstall. I'll be back in a minute or so. And you deserve a LOT more rep than I can give.
