Flintlock Rifle
I have looked at the flintlock rifle in Fable 2 and after examining the reload time, the size, I have realised that nobody, not even a hero, could load a flintlock that fast. And the manner of reloading looks nothing like a flintlock. After comparing some weapons from around that time, I have come to the conclusion that the flintlock rifle is actually a Breach Loading Carbine.
This is loaded by pulling back the hammer, which exposes the barrel. A bullet or paper cartridge is then put in and the hammer is pushed forward, closing the breach. This saved time wasted by the muzzle loader flintlock rifle. Also the carbine is a similar size to the "flintlock" in fable 2. And if you look closely you will see that the manner of loading the flintlock is similar to what I have described.
This theory is based on the military Spencer Carbine.
