Fun Video Game Facts

Did you know that Hideo Kojima had originally intended for Solid Snake and Otacon to be charged and executed as terrorists at the end of Metal Gear Solid 4? This is why 'Here's to you' is in the games soundtrack because it mirrors the two anarchists Nicola and Bart who are commonly argued to have been wrongly executed. His staff were all opposed to the idea though so it was changed. Furthermore, because Kojima had firmly intended for Solid Snake to die at the end of the series, a second ending drawn up was Snake following through on his suicide attempt and shooting himself. His staff however once again managed to talk him out of it, the epilogue was then changed to the current ending.

Did you know that Mario was originally a carpenter, not a plumber, and the girl he sets out to rescue was not a princess?

Well, its all true. Not until the second arcade game was he made a plumber, in the first he was a carpenter who's pet gorilla kidnaps his non-princess girlfriend.

If you hold the thumbstick in the right place on Batman Arkham city during the elevator area to the main tower where you fight Hugo Strange you can get movement in your pants, whilst holding the controller to your genitals.

Did you know the Sony PlayStation was originally planned as a SNES add-on? Sony was set as the designers of the electronic components for the CD-ROM add-on, but Nintendo wound up bailing out on the joint project in the end. Sony however decided to keep the plans and continue development anyway, and the rest is history.
