G4TV has awarded Fable II with their Game of the Year Award for 2008!!
Way to go Lionhead.

Fallout 3, Grand Theft Auto 4, Metal Gear Solid 4, Left 4 Dead, Resistance 2, and Gears of War 2 all got nominated, but when it came down to it, Fable 2 walked away with X-Play’s Game of the Year award.

Fable two really just got lucky. on x-play, it lost all the other awards it got nominated for...

I still think gears 2 was better (even though I haven't played it yet)....

Honestly, almost every game that came out this year was major suckage, that I've played. GTA IV and Fable 2 were probably the only good games. I haven't played fallout 3 though. But I quickly became bored with Gears 2 after I went online and realized it sucked just as much as the original game online.

I love the game, but did it really deserve GOTY? Come on, fanboys. Deep deep down, you guys know that X Play made a bad choice.

Much props to Lionhead!! Fable 2 might not have been the best game of the year. But I have not played that many this year to begin with. My first 360 broke (sadly :'() and I just got a new one on Christmas.. so since it was really the only game I actually played enough of this year it gets my vote.

What the heck.... I did not double post. WTF?!

But yeah, Fable 2 is good, just not as good as gears 2.

Besides, in all the other categories fable 2 was nominated for, Fable 2 was blown out of the water by other nominees in GOTY...

I'm happy with there choice you cant say a game is good or bad until you have brought it.
i think fable 2 is worth buying a 360 over i brought it for fable 2
