The South Australian Attorney-General feels more at risk from gamers than he does from motorcycle gangs.

Speaking on ABC TV's Good Game about the debate around an 18+ rating in Australia, Atkinson said, "I feel that my family and I are more at risk from gamers than we are from the outlaw motorcycle gangs who also hate me and are running a candidate against me.

"The outlaw motorcycle gangs haven't been hanging around my doorstop at 2am. A gamer has," he said referring to a letter he said was posted under his door.

Australia's largest videogame retailer, EB Games, is currently promoting an online and in-store petition for an R 18+ classification. The sooner this goes through, the better for everyone.

I stopped reading at this point 'The South Australian Attorney-General'. I feel sorry for Australian gamers, having everything so restricted and things that are acceptable in most other places banned. Sounds like here about 7 years ago.

I am gonna make the most of living in the UK before I move back to Oz lol. This guy is a pretentious twat and hopefully he ends up either out of office or dead in some back street gutter before i set my foot back home. unfortunately the damage has already been done and I think Australian gamers won't be able to recover from this tyants evil ways.

It's a damn shame, but the Brazilians have it even worse than Australians. PS2 was just released to Brazil only a few months ago, they're already looking to ban video games as a whole for the country as well.
