Games like sim city, anno 1702 etc.

Is there any more of these, except for the sim city and anno series?

I really enjoy both of them, but I'm starting to grow kind of tired of them.

Re: Games like sim city, anno 1702 etc.

I used to really enjoy a game called Settlers, can get all 3 for PC but first 2 were the best. Civilisation is meant to be a good one also but never played it myself.

Yeah the Civilizations games are pretty great. There's a lot of warfare compared to the peaceful Sim City games though which might put you off.

Can you adjust the number of opponents and grade of difficulty?
If so, then I might just have 1/0 and easy opponents..

From what I recall you should be able to play a traditional "Custom Game" common in most strategy games, where you can customize opponents and such.

Drakan mentioned Settlers. I have played Settlers 4 myself and I have to say it`s quite an unique game and I loved it. It`s still RTS (this means war), though, but so much different that maybe you ought to give it a go. Try downloading a demo and try it out; or maybe even the previous installments. Avoid Settlers 5.

Edit:
And how could I forget: Monopoly Tycoon. Try it out, it`s like a monoply game mixed with SimCity.

What about Rise of Nations? Tis' a good game.

I didnt play any after the 2nd but the first 2 were 2 of my favourite games at the time. I played the first to death on my Amiga and id still play it now if my dad hadnt sold it. Id play Settlers II on my PC but XP isnt supported and the patch they released got the game to run but i get no sound and havent found a work around for that.

Tom Clancy's Endwar is supposed to be fantastic

Re: Games like sim city, anno 1702 etc.

Yeah but that's hardly about building and managing cities.

Re: Games like sim city, anno 1702 etc.

Yeah... I'm not really into the war in RTS games. I too just like building huge empires.
