Re: Gaming!

Final Fantasy was EPIC, right now I only have 5 and 9... but it turns out, due to Sony's cheap ass PS2, I cannot save FF9 on a PS2 memory card, cause I have tried all three of mine, one of which is nearly empty.

Re: Gaming!

has anyone ever heard of final fantasy tactics advance for the gameboy color and the newer one the grimoire of the rift for ds? fun game. lots of quests and races and different classes. fun game and the end is rather challenging on the first one since you do three fights straight and the last one is extremely hard since the boss has a move that kills you in one hit so you have to pray you can get her health down before all your team mates are down. Also some of the boss fights are challenging especially this one that you have to destroy crystals that can use a spell to turn your teammates against you.
fun game it is.

I think I've got.. FF 7 and 8, The best ones!

Final Fantasy VII was THE BEST, VIII was a little draggy but still okay to play, it let a lot of people down after the release if VII though.

Tactics is funky.

I have Grimoire Of The Rift for the DS and I love it, loads of classes to choose from and it takes bloody ages to complete.. Learning every move for every class for one individual character. And you can get like, 30!

yes i loved it to until someone stole my ds and a bunch of games including that one and i had never finshed the game since i was trying to make my team stronger to bet her, and i spent nearly like more than 100 hours on it doing every quest i found making the perfect team with my character going to ninja to duel wield then go to that samurai class and dealing epic damage with both swords doing those attacks. My team was perfect i had done almost every quest, i had the strongest equipment and i was at the end of the game. I am so frustrated and i don't even know the end :'(, well to youtube!

Edit: Also the cat girl had almost all the chosen abilities(you don't know how much i had to wait inbetween each of them for a new ability.)

How the hell did your DS manage to get stolen?

That story saddens my heart, truthfully, if i was going to rob someones DS i would ask: "Have you spent hundreds of painstaking brutal hours gaming on this?"

If the person said yes i'd give it back, there's nothing worse than losing a game you're addicted to.

Fable freezes. I lost Oblivion. I think I'm gonna crawl up in a corner and die.

Well i left my ds in my moms car as usual(with like ten games :'( ) soi i don't get bored while in the car then my mother went on vacation took the car. And when she came back she said that the car window was smashed and we had been robbed. Although she doesn't know it's gone i'm too afraid to tell her. She would yell or be very mad or something. But i also had my pokemon pearl which i also spent lots of time on transfering all the best pokemon on my other games with legendaries with a box nearly full of them.
it also had my tactics advance and others. I wish i could find that guy who stole it and take a golf club and bash his head open(atleast if i was in a video game). but i had worked insanely i spent nearly an entire day just playing.

oh well back ontopic. Most games nowadays are easier since the newer generation are too lazy and don't want to have to go back halfway back in the level just to find something they missed.
Although that doesn't change how much fun a game can be.

Dude, that.. sucks.

You should never ever leave expensive stuff in plain view in your car. I always hide such things under my seat. I'm sorry to hear it happened to you.

Re: Gaming!

Games today are trying a more cinematic approach than they did 20 years ago, trying to create epic moments that in films take minutes or seconds and try and transform them into hours of game play. I think that is why games today are so easy... and because of sugar high (american) teenagers smashing hundreds of dollars worth of equipment due to loosing in games

actually it wasn't in plain view but it was in the box in front of the passenger seat.

I told my mom since she asked me where my ds was and i said nothing and eventually she asked did it get stolen or something and then i told her about it then she said to have told me before to have the insurance pay and looked kinda sad .

I played Red Faction 2(and finished it) yesterday and it was impossible to go any further without doing the objectives which means you never had to go back ingame. (the game is fun but horribly short(hopefully i got it for 2 euros)).

Re: Gaming!

Games are definetley easier but for the advantage of the company to get money, im 16 so i barely remember old games but i remember buying super mario game on the pocket i just could not get past the flying lion thingie so i just put the game in a box and never played it again, and many kids are like that, they dont want to be spending hours and hours on a few levels, they want an enjoyable expierence, so the companies make it fun and easy to please there audience to get sales but not too easy.... for example Fable 2 :( but its a bit too easy
