gem stone cave

hi all. iv beaten the game an now im trying to do the archaeologist quests but im stuck on the cave near a beach one an im fairly sure that its the gem stone cave but as the bridge in rookridge is rebuilt i hav no way of getting into the water so i can swim to it. is there any other way to get down there?

Go to Rookride < Teleport to The hobbe cave, right when you tele there just turn around go outside,
Kill the hobbes at that spot, than go to your right and swim until you reach another land mass and follow it till its end and the cave will be there.
