General Conundrum.

Okay so, I have a question for the Ladies.. Here's the deal: My 2nd Year Anniversery is coming up with my Sweetheart and I don't know what I should get her that's really unique and special. I mean, I've given her everything from Flowers, Jewelry, and just my undying Affection but this time I want it to be different. Something that would knock her off her feet, I was thinking a Home cooked Dinner (From scratch, I'm not lazy) and just the occasional "Rumble in the Jungle". Maybe hearing some ideas from what women would really want might help me make this one night she will remember forever (Concidering I plan on proposing to her in a few Months after I get my Car paid off, good thing she doesn't know about these Forums :D). Any ideas?

Re: General Conundrum.

^ Or Does she.. DUN DUN DUNNNN!

Well.. What does she enjoy? THEN DO THE TOTAL OPPOSITE!!! Haha.

Im really no help right now.. Right now I feel like being an Asshole, Sorry I cant help it.

Just find out what she likes then go in-depth with that.

e.g. She likes Horses. Take her on a trip where you go to Farms and Horse back riding for 5 days. Idunno something like that..

OR

You can let her speak when its between 4pm and 6pm but then after those times she has to speak when spoken to. :D

Haha!

Re: General Conundrum.

You could make something - not in a weird kids TV kind of way but maybe find out her favourite song/song that holds good memories for both of you and means something and record your own version of it for her. My friend did that one year and it kept him in the good books for a stupidly long period of time.

Something that's unique, like that, usually does well because it shows real thought and effort. My friend can't sing for toffee, but the fact he tried was what mattered. Or if you can recall when she's mentioned always wanting to see that film/concert/play/etc in passing or wanted something (I dunno what girls like - bags, shoes, kittens? No idea) then maybe arrange that for her/get it for her because that again shows you've listened. Steve's done that for me a couple of times - bought me something I've mentioned only in passing. I'll say "how did you know I wanted that?" and he manages, to his credit, to keep the smug look off his face long enough to say "because I listen to you". Kind of double edged though because what he means is "I listen to you. Now return the favour sometime".

That's actually not bad, there was this place she mentioned it's like a Cafe that plays like Jazz and Karaoke. I've never been to one but I think it will be a suprise for her and a new experience for me. Oh and no, she's not getting shoes or bags.. she has way too many as it is.

I do have to admit to liking bags...it's about as girly as I get, but I'm very particular about which ones I have, so it's not a proper girly fixation *phew*.

I mean, even if what she would love is your idea of hell, just doing something which is about her will really mean a lot to her. And if money is an issue, even something like returning to a place which is special to you both - even if it's a park or something - just to remind her that you still remember going there for the first time, what she wore, what happened etc. Or perhaps (if it wasn't an epic fail) re-enacting your first date/significant other date - that sort of thing...again, shows attention to detail and that it meant enough to you to remember it.

Re: General Conundrum.

I'm so glad Angel posted here and I just didn't have to deal with Scarecrow and his Genious Ideas. xD

Re: General Conundrum.

Seriously, I'd expecially like to thank Angel for her helpful advice, not only did the plannings go accordingly but they were so flawless it couldn't have possibly screwed up! It was amazing, first we went to this little Cafe that was mentioned above and despite my fear of stage fright I got up and sang Jason Mraz's "I'm Yours" and didn't totally bomb it but it set the mood. Afterwards I took her out to Dinner at Olive Garden only for the simple fact that we both have never ate there and it looked nice. Later we went back to her house and watched "The Notebook" (Total chick flick, but good regardless) and well, let's just say it was fantastic. So all in all thank you Angel! Oh and yeah, thank you too ScareCrow. :P

Glad it went well :D
