Gold per 5 min question

From what i understand i get gold every 5 minutes. I have some rented out homes and what not so i get about 781 gold per 5 min. I turned off my box, and came back to it about 5 and a half hours later and when i got back in the game i only had earned 7500 or so more gold. If its every 5 min at 781, that should have been a lot more, anything im missing here or misinformed on? Thanks!

I believe the gold you earn when the 360 is off is capped at one hour's worth.

i heard someone say if you disconnect from live save your game then quit and change your 360 clock to 2020 you'll earn like a million dollars if you have enough property but i dunnno myself..

nice, but i want to play fair. Peter said in interviews in the past before the game came out if you were gone for a few hours or days you would have gold waiting for you, i guess he knew not to be specific on how much though, that sucks.

I think its just less while you are off, but it should continue to add up no matter how long you are away.

Yeah, it is just slower earning. Or I would be a billionaire by now. Wait lemme check my calculator... Okay, 60/5=12, 12*24=288, 288*approx22000=6336000/day! And I haven't played for at least 4 days. 6336000*4=25344000. Wow, I would be rich.

I believe that while the game is on you earn that cash every five minutes, and while off you earn it hourly.

I couldn't avoid doing the system clock cheat, my clock has been off and I have been meaning to change it so I basically went ahead 2 years, I get 18,000 gold every 5 minutes and for moving the clock ahead 3 years (which was what I had to get to get to the current date) I only got 1.7million.

KEEP IN MIND I DID NOT CHEAT! I HAD TO RESET MY CLOCK ANYWAYS.

besides I had already beat the game.

I think it's good that you only get gold every hour cuz otherwise you'll have like 200000 gold after 1 night even though you only own like five buildings.

I get over 6 thousand every time it happens, and in some of the homes, there are lots of extra gold to be found.:)

I get $15,000 every 5 min. But while i'm not playing for a night i got $869,000

I figured out that getting 1500 gold every 5 min in the game will get you about 112 gold everey 5 min when the box is off.

Id rather play fairly. :) 12000 gold per 5 minutes will do me tbh.
