Time is written in a linear format. As it happens. Say you go back in time to change something, yourself in the past is written at the same time as the rest of the past, so nothing is changed.

actually the story of jane never could have happened. Because there is always one life to start the next ones but since she would be the first life she couldn't have parents since it was her but there was no Jane before her so she had no parents.
conclusion
Jane could have never existed

I believe time is a dot.
