I never properly introduced myself so I figured now is the best time to do so.

Who are you?
I am the infamous GrimWhim, whose whims are quite grim. You can call me Grim, Mr. Grim or if you absolutely must, GrimWhim.

Why are you here?
I'm here to kick ass and chew bubblegum... and I'm all out of gum. Haha, no, but seriously... I joined because I had a question to ask and the only way to ask said question was to sign up. Then I realized "Well, I enjoy both of the Fable games and look forward to the third so, why not hang around?".

What are your interests?
I enjoy playing video games, watching anime, cooking food (as well as the consumption of said food), philosophy, martial arts, archery, guns and uh... I guess that's it?

Where do you live?
Sorry but I don't give out personal information.

How old are you?
I turned 21 in July. Do I drink? No. I'm a straight edge dude.

The answer to that is quite simple. I have what you call an "abrasive personality" and that combined with my blunt cynicism tends to lead me to butting heads with just about everyone I come across. Does that make an ass, a douche, etc.? To some, yes but to others who can look past my flaws, I'm actually a great friend and a pretty decent guy.

clearly you've seen John Carpenters They Live and understand the humor behind it. welcome to the forums. as a B Movie fan, you are automatically higher on my list than 47.5% of our current members. you could have just done it by making witty posts and demonstrating a good sense of humor, but you had to jump the gun and advertise your love for the lower level of hollywood. those 47.6% (and counting, notice how the decimal is higher) probably resent you for outdoing them, but you don't care. your only worry is moving yourself higher up in the world, and we at projectego like that! have a seat, read a magazine, would you like a smoke? we're all friends here. all of us who are better than that 47.7% (new members registered).

I hate to say this at a welcome thread. However, nobody has labeled you as "the bad guy" I don't think you are cynic or anything like that, you should probably just be more careful in the way you reply, because sometimes it really seems that you aren't really going with the subject. (other than the fact that you show signs of frustration pretty much easily when it comes to an argument)

I don't understand this wholesome weird reaction en masse by different users. That's just a welcome thread, if you have problems with someone then you should contact the right people for it, also there's a report button on each post, where you can report the post to the moderators, administrators and so on.

Plus, why are you using rude language, it is unnecessary and immature for anyone to act like this, it's just a welcome thread, shouldn't we be nice?

I don't understand why everyone's acting with such hatred against the same user. Of course, there could be arguments against someone for the x, y and z reasons, however that's not right at all.

I'm not against sharing a common opinion about a certain user, however, I don't want to take sides into this subject which is getting a bit ridicolous the way that everyone's acting around the forums against the same user.

If there's a problem with a certain user, I'm sure this should be reported. I have met enough people that you have to sit down and argue with them about their actions, however I don't do that for the exact reason of ruining the forum itself.

I don't see why everyone's acting like this, don't you see that your reactions are turning you into what you hate? Aren't we of the same community shouldn't we be at least nice with new users and also try to keep the forums tidy as users ourselves, because we are the community itself?

I believe that when there's one or multiple people that are acting in a way that disturbs the community, these people should be ignored, because focusing on these things simply increases and increases the weight of the problem, not just within the people that experience the argument but all the whole community.

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to offend or anything. I'll hush now, I won't touch the subject again. However, I'm tired to walk around every section and see almost every new post to talk about the same person, same argument with just different users.

This is exactly what I've come to find. You are passionate, and that usually acts to sharpen those around you. Though I have seen times when you don't back down to anyone (even authority), I have also seen times when you try and expand your horizons.

Welcome to the Forum, my money's on 'not a troll'.

To be fair though, with a statement like that you had to expect some people not liking you.

You're right. Just because one user is juvenile doesn't give me the right to do so as well. I apologise for ruining your welcome thread GrimWhim, and I hope you can learn from this as well.
