GTA IV: The Lost and The Damned

Last night was the VGA awards, which in my opinion sucked this year, except Jack Black lightened it up. Anyways, there were many world premieres for many games, most of which looked like crap, but there was one. And here it is.

Grand Theft Auto IV: The Lost and The Damned

I think it looks excellent. Hopefully I'll have enough MS points by then. :w00t:

Re: GTA IV: The Lost and The Damned

not true... I thought the introduction of that Dante Inferno looked pretty good, but anyway yeah msotly it sucked... I am not a big GTA fan so idc

GTA4 Sucked. It pains me to play it. That's all i have to say about that

You obviously have no taste in games. It's the ace of the GTA series.

Re: GTA IV: The Lost and The Damned

It would've been more exciting for me had it came out when it was supposed to.. but I'm more interested in the titles I've got for Christmas instead of spending my points on this.

I thought it was easily the best one (besides the original concept) also. GTA III was great as it was the step in the next gen direction however Vice City and San Andreas i didnt enjoy and quickly got bored. GTA IV remains to this day the only GTA that actually got me interested enough in the story and characters that i completed it.

Re: GTA IV: The Lost and The Damned

I loved GTA IV, personally. I never bothered with the achievements, though (200 pigeons? Suck my dick!).

Re: GTA IV: The Lost and The Damned

^Agreeable on that one. 200 pigeons is TOO much. And hard to find. Damn large city!

But I might get this DLC. It looks good, but I'm not too sure I'll even have any MS points by then. Yeah, I'm poor.

Re: GTA IV: The Lost and The Damned

I think the new GTA4 DLC is looking pretty cool. I watched The Lost and The Damned preview trailer yesterday on GameSpot and must admit it that I was pretty impressed. I won't be getting it though, I gave away my copy of GTA4 and doubt I'll be buying another one.

Regarding the storyline of the DLC: I have heard...

That it ties into the original story of GTA4, and that you play as the biker gang who is hired to kidnap Roman (remember when he turns up in that huge trash bin?) - at least that's what I've heard.

Shame, really, because I have over 4000 Microsoft Points and nothing to spend 'em on. :(

I knew that would stir some comments!!!
this might sound like a back flip but, i do like it. the story is cool, the visuals are stunning, the humour is hilarious (internet cafe's named Tw@t), but, i can't get over the way everything handles. the shooting/targeting system is clumsy. the character control is annoying and less responsive with the way he turns around, as if it's meant to be a more fluid motion when it's just irritating. the cars take forever to slow down forcing you to drive slower or you miss the turn, or hit the building. San Andreas is their best effort IMO

Took me a while to get used to but i actually now prefer the realistic styled handling that they used in GTA IV than the others. No more handbrake turning corners at 80mph and weather effecting the handling quite badly was a nice touch. Also with certain cars handling different, although means you never want to use any of the crappy ones but adds to the drama when you need to get away and thats all thats around. Makes you have to drive more skillfully to compensate for the poor handling and speed of the other cars.

Re: GTA IV: The Lost and The Damned

Russian Mobsters>American 'Gangstahs'.

By far.

GTA IV is the best in the series, hands down. IV, I, and II. Hated the other ones.

Re: GTA IV: The Lost and The Damned

I think peoples issues with GTA4 is basically because.... theres alot more jokes to be made about american gangsters then the Russian Mafia. Its a darker GTA, and alot of people dont like that its more serious, more real.

Personally, I really liked it, although I got it on PS3 shortly before it choked to death, and so havent played it all the way through.

Re: GTA IV: The Lost and The Damned

I loved it. I missed the airplane features though, and base jumping/sky diving. And ATV's. But then you would only have city to roam with it in. Not all that cool... :P
