ArenaNet have announced that you can now play the base game of Guild Wars 2 totally free (its never had monthly fees but now you dont even have to buy it).

Pleasantly surprised to hear about this and will definitely tempt me more to finally dive in, since it'll be free I'll feel less of an urge to be dedicated to it as opposed to if I were to make an investment on it.

Seems as though it's pretty old now it's minimum specs are very reasonable.

I can understand that, my laptop had half decent specs and used to run Skyrim at max but after a couple of years it would barely run solitaire.
