ANet is famous for their sense of humor when it comes to April Fools, an event day that many of the Guild Wars community look forward to.

ANet didn't disappoint this year, either, with a quest that 'previews' Guild Wars 2.

Not only that, but it's a time traveling quest. Players are thrown back in time during the Guild War proper; an event that has been widely talked about in game but has never actually been experienced.

The plot of Annihilator (the name of the quest) is to destroy the GOLEM that the Charr from 250 years in the future have sent back in time to kill Gwen's mother, Sarah. Gwen plays a pivotal role in the events leading up to GW2, so her lack of existence would definitely throw the whole world into chaos!

To top it all off, ANet even added a profession page to the GW2 website:

I took the liberty of creating a small gallery of screenshots:

I also have my first attempt at completing the quest uploading to Youtube as we speak. It will be ready later today.

For players who would like to attempt the quest on their own, head to Embark Beach and talk to Corporal Bane.

And, yes, the entire quest is a Terminator reference!

I don't play GW anymore, I just the name of that place.

And are you really allowed 7 Heroes in a party now? Because I started adding Heroes to my party a few weeks ago and I had it filled up with them...
